Arnaud Quercy translates a piano étude into color in Watercolor Study in C Major No. 2, a watercolor on paper measuring 30 × 21 cm. The work maps the C Major triad — C1, C2, E3, G4 — onto a range of orange, earth, and yellow-orange tones, using geometric forms to represent the harmonic relationships between notes. A vertical rectangle in gray, a dark base square, and a golden half-circle organize the composition against two warm flat fields. Fine black lines extend from the central form, adding linear structure to the otherwise flat color planes. The work belongs to the C Major series within the Synesthetic Explorations collection, rooted in personal expression. It was created at the Rue du Dragon studio in Paris on 13 July 2026 and exhibited at the Solabi Vare exhibition at Art Quam Anima, Paris. Certificate number 20260713-0143. Currently available.

Arnaud Quercy translates a piano étude into watercolor in Watercolor Study in D Major No. 3, a 30 × 21 cm work on paper completed in Paris on July 13, 2026. The composition maps the ascending D Major triad — D1, D2, F#2, F#3, F#4, D5, A5 — onto three color groups: orange tones filling the dominant curved form, yellow-orange neutrals spreading across the ground and a central rectangle, and green tones marking the vertical zone where the two shapes meet. Black ink outlines define the geometric structure throughout. The work belongs to the D Major series within Quercy's Synesthetic Explorations collection, which converts musical structures into color relationships on paper. Completed at the Rue du Dragon studio in Paris and shown at the Solabi Vare exhibition at Art Quam Anima, the work was acquired on July 22, 2026. It is catalogued as AQC1084 with certificate number 20260713-0136.

Watercolor Study in F Minor No. 3 — Arnaud Quercy

Arnaud Quercy translates a specific piano chord into color in Watercolor Study in F Minor No. 3, a contemporary watercolor on paper created in Paris in July 2026. The work maps the triad F2, D4, F4, F5 onto a palette of steel gray, burnt sienna orange, and red-violet, using chromesthetic correspondence to determine each color choice. Steel gray tones cover the majority of the surface, with warm orange filling the left zone and a saturated red-violet block anchoring the center-left. Thin black ink lines extend vertically across the right side, one terminating in a small loop at the top edge. Dark accents appear in a compact horizontal form near the lower center. The third work in the F minor series, this painting belongs to the Synesthetic Explorations collection. It was exhibited at Solabi Vare at Art Quam Anima, Paris, and acquired by a collector in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The work measures 21 × 21 cm on paper and carries certificate number 20260713-0123.

Sometimes Ago - C Major — Arnaud Quercy

Arnaud Quercy translates the key of C Major into painted color in Sometimes Ago — C Major, a large-scale acrylic on linen canvas completed in France in 2021. Working through his chromesthetic system — where each musical tone corresponds to a fixed color — Quercy assigns red to C, yellow to E, and red-orange to G, rendering the tonic triad as an entirely warm field. The composition organizes these colors into broad, flat geometric planes across a 146 × 114 cm surface. Red-orange tones dominate, ranging from deep crimson and firebrick to bright orange-red and softer salmon. A column of cool slate blue and dark gray on the right side of the canvas creates a strong contrast with the warm mass. Small accents of pale off-white and ochre appear near the upper center. The work belongs to the C Major series within the Synesthetic Explorations collection and carries certificate number 20211231-0069.
