Description

Nine tones build an E♭ dominant seventh that climbs the full keyboard — E♭1 to G7. E♭ appears five times, the root stamped through every register; G brings the major third twice in the upper octaves; D♭ adds the minor seventh once. Blue-violet saturates the low end, darkening toward gray in the sub-bass. Red-orange and violet color the middle where G and D♭ sit. The highest tones — G6, G7 — reach toward silver and white.
An ascending waltz, Animé, mf, legato. The line drives from E♭1 to G7 with the clearest forward motion in this set — mf gives it a moderate presence, and the triple-time pulse pushes upward without pause. Nine notes across nearly seven octaves: the dominant seventh's characteristic restlessness stretched to its widest span.
A standalone dominant seventh from the Synesthetic Explorations. Where the F7 nearby descends from silver to black, this E♭7 reverses the gesture — climbing from darkness into light. The same harmonic tension, the opposite journey. Blue-violet rising toward brightness, the unresolved seventh carried upward like a question aimed at the sky.
