Description
There he sits, under the shade of an umbrella at a café along the bustling Rambla in Barcelona. But who is he really? The angular, fragmented forms that make up his face suggest a man who is not easily understood. His moustache curls upward in a confident, almost playful gesture—but is he smiling behind it, or does the twist of his lips betray something deeper?
His hat tilts slightly, as if to shield his thoughts, to keep his secrets hidden from the world. Is he watching the crowd move by, or is he lost in his own thoughts? The two round shapes to his left—are they coins? Or are they symbols of something else, a part of his story that remains untold?
