Provenance

Description

Inspired by the Lydian mode, one of the seven diatonic modes in Western music theory.

It is characterized by its distinctive whole-tone (major second) interval between the first and second notes of the scale. The defining feature of the Lydian mode is its augmented fourth /also known as an augmented 11th when extended beyond an octave).

This augmented fourth creates a sense of tension and a dreamy, ethereal quality to the mode. The Lydian mode is often described as having a bright and somewhat otherworldly sound.
