Description

Eight tones spell out a B minor seventh — B, D, F♯, A — the four chord tones woven from B2 to D6. Yellow-green anchors the low B, orange and green appear in the middle registers where D and F♯ sit, and yellow-orange lights the upper reaches where A and D climb toward brightness. A blue-violet accent slips in — a chromatic note adding a momentary shadow to the otherwise warm palette.
The étude rises — Animé, mp, legato, a waltz that climbs from the dark B2 to D6 at the top. The minor seventh gives the harmony its particular softness: not the stark tension of a dominant chord, but something more settled, more inward. The ascending line lifts this quiet weight upward.
One of the Synesthetic Explorations' standalone studies. The minor seventh chord carries four distinct color families — yellow-green, orange, green, yellow-orange — and this painting lets each breathe in its own register. Dense but not heavy, warm but touched with cool.
