One of the 72 Facets of Paris, a series born of a piano waltz of the same name: the artist gave each of its seventy-two measures the harmony of a Parisian place at a given hour, then painted each harmony into colour and form through his ideamorphic method. First light, and the waltz turns in three-time on the stone. From the chord D♭maj9 it draws the spirit of the haussmannian blocks by the Square du Temple at six: a broad grey disc, a purple block, blue and red-orange — railings at dawn. It holds the square (column 3, row 3) of the mosaic, which fully assembled forms an abstract portrait of Paris.
