Description

Ceramic sculpture paying homage to Charlie Parker (1920–1955), whose bebop represents my foundational artistic love. Interlocking geometric planes encode the architecture of his harmonic language — tritone substitutions, deceptive resolutions, cadences demanding virtuosic navigation. Angular elements evoke both bird wings and saxophone brass, while curved bands coil around a central sphere like Parker's melodic lines spiraling through harmonic changes.

The cubist abstraction merges symbol and instrument into unified form, operating at medium scale to reward close examination from multiple angles. Complexity resolves into coherence — elaboration that repays attention, virtuosic energy contained within rigorous structure.

This is not systematic translation but devotional tribute. Parker as god, bebop as first love, this sculpture as homage to the music that shaped my entire artistic formation. (Untamed Creations collection, 2024)
