Description

The widest span in the series — six octaves from C#1 to E7 — and the most complete chord statement. Nine notes, Animé, mp, legato, ascending through waltz meter. The phrase begins in the sub-bass where the root is near-black, then climbs through the middle register where blue-green brightens and the third enters at E4 as yellow shading toward yellow-green. The fifth appears at G#5, a blue presence in the upper range. Above it, E5, E6, and E7 stack the third in successive octaves, yellow lightening toward white as it rises.

Blue-green dominates the lower canvas — dark, saturated, cool. Yellow enters in the middle and spreads upward, each octave a little paler than the last, the minor third traveling from warmth toward luminance. Blue sits between them at G#5, a single cool anchor among the ascending yellows.

This is C# minor at its most populated and complete, all three chord tones present across a vast range. The ascending waltz lays out the key's predominantly cool palette — blue-green root, yellow third, blue fifth — with the third's warmth growing as the phrase climbs toward the light.
