Description

Violet spreads wide. Variation 6 carries three Bb's — at octaves 3, 4, and 5 — the fifth spanning three registers, violet building from muted to bright across the phrase. Six notes, Animé, mp, legato, waltz. An orange accent at D4 breaks the cool palette in the midrange, and Gb6 lifts the green third high where it pales.

Eb2 grounds the bass in dark blue-violet. D4 arrives as orange — warm, unexpected, a non-chord tone that tilts the midrange briefly toward heat. The three Bb's reclaim the phrase in violet: Bb3 muted, Bb4 gaining color, Bb5 at its most saturated. Gb6 sits at the top, the green third fading toward yellow-orange as the register rises. The red-violet tinge at the edges gives the violet a warmer cast than usual.

A waltz built on the fifth's color, the violet rising through three octaves like a slow crescendo of hue. The orange accent at D4 is a single warm interruption in the prevailing coolness, a flash of heat before the violet resumes.
