The fifth arrives out of order. Variation 7 is ascending — A2 to C#6 — but includes G4 as a red-orange accent, a non-chord tone appearing between A4 and C#5 in the sequence. G is a half-step below the chord's fifth (A's fifth is E), and here it registers as a red-orange interruption in the otherwise yellow-orange and blue-green phrase.

Six notes in the waltz, Animé. The ascending climb reaches C#6 where the phrase hangs suspended. G4 appears midway through the ascent — a warm, chromatic detour before the line continues upward. The red-orange of G4 is close to A's own yellow-orange but with more warmth and less brightness.

Highlights dominate at 70%. The ascending waltz pulls the painting toward its luminous upper register, the single accent providing a moment of warm tension before the phrase resolves in the pale heights of C#6.
