Description

Valley without the sub-bass. Variation 6 traces an inverted bell — dipping to A2 (gray-black) before rising — but begins on A2 rather than A1. The difference matters: A1 is near-black, while A2 reads as a dark gray, slightly less absolute. The étude's floor is elevated by one octave.

Five notes: A2, A4, C#5, A5, C#6. Clean, pure, no accents. The line dips to A2 and rises to C#6 in pale yellow-orange, three versions of the tonic (A2, A4, A5) and two of the third (C#5, C#6) creating an alternating pattern through the registers.

Animé, mp, legato, four beats. The animated tempo at the moderate dynamic drives the valley with energy. Highlights dominate at 70% — despite the valley shape, the painting is bright-oriented. An Animé étude that dips briefly before claiming the luminous upper register.
