Description

A small piano étude translated into color. The C Major triad — C2, Bb3, G4, C5, E6 — appears here as red toward black, yellow and red-orange, the chromesthetic translation of this chord. The spread voicing spans from C2 to E6, opening across the paper the way it opens across the keyboard. Some accents — violet — appear as tensions outside the chord tones.
This painting belongs to my Synesthetic Explorations series, an ongoing practice of translating harmonic relationships into visual form. Each variation is a study — direct, unadorned, focused on the essential character of the chord.
