Description

Four notes — the sparsest phrase in the entire series. F#2, C#4, F#5, A6: root, fifth, root, third, each in a different octave, each separated by wide intervals. The line ascends in waltz time, Animé, mp, legato, and every note has room to breathe. The fifth appears for only the second time in the series, a single blue-green voice at C#4. A6 crowns the phrase in pale yellow-green, the third bleached nearly to white by altitude.

The canvas is overwhelmingly bright. Highlights dominate — the high third and the upper root together flooding the surface with silver, pale green, and near-white. Midtones hold a modest band where C#4 and F#5 sit in blue-green and steel-gray. Shadow is almost nothing, just a whisper of dark gray at F#2. The painting is the lightest in the series, the chord thinned to air.

The most minimal variation — four voices, maximum space, F# Minor dissolved into light.
