Description

The loudest variation, and the one that again invokes Chopin. Six notes ascend from F#1 to A6 in waltz time — Animé, mf, legato — the strongest dynamic in the series, the phrase played with clear, moderate presence. A blue-violet accent at D#4 enters outside the chord, a cool tension low in the line. Above it, A4 and A5 hold the third in warm yellow-orange, and F#5 carries the root in green. A6 crowns everything in pale silver.

The painting glows. Highlights claim more than half the surface — the third repeated at altitude dissolving into silver and light. Midtones hold a band of warm gold and green where root and third coexist in the middle register. The blue-violet accent reads as a small, unexpected coolness among the warm tones. Shadow is thin, just F#1 as a dark anchor at the base.

The warmest painting in the series — root and third in near-equal dialogue, green and gold finally balanced, with Chopin's ghost still turning in the waltz.
