Description

The widest span in the series — F#1 to A#7, nearly the full keyboard. Six notes ascend in a waltz, Animé and mp, but the middle register is dominated by non-chord tones: D5 in orange, G5 in red-orange, warm accents that have no business in this cool key. The root sits as near-black in the sub-bass; the third climbs to the highest octaves where A#6 and A#7 dissolve into pale, near-white violet.

The ascending contour carries the phrase from darkness to light across six octaves. F#5 provides the only mid-register green — the root at its most characteristic — while F#1 below is merely a dark anchor. The violet of the third brightens as it rises, losing its saturation to become almost silver at the very top.

This variation stretches the chord until its extremes can barely see each other. The bass is black, the peak is white, and the warm orange accents in the middle belong to neither end. A study in distance within the cool-green key.
