The violet warms toward red-violet at Bb5, then pales through Bb6 into the near-white of Bb7. The green moves the other way: dark and muted at Gb2, clearing octave by octave to its fullest expression at Gb5. No fifth — Db is absent, and the étude doesn't miss it. Gb Major lives in its root and third, green and violet in near-equal balance, cool throughout, the fifth an optional guest.
