Description

A single yellow note interrupts the bell. E4 does not belong to G minor — it is the major sixth, a chromatic interloper placed precisely at the mid-point of the phrase where the arc begins its turn. In color, E4 translates as yellow: brief, warm, distinct against the surrounding red-oranges and oranges of the G-D spine. It arrives without preparation and releases without consequence, a flash of a different temperature caught within the ascending motion.

The bell tops at D5 — not the heights of Bb6 or Bb7 reached in other variations, but a more moderate summit. Two G's hold the bass, two D's in the middle-to-upper range provide the orange body, E4 appears as the interjection, then D5 closes the arc at its crest. Seven notes, compact distribution.

Thirty-nine percent highlights: significant light in the upper portion despite the moderate summit. The yellow flash of E4 contributes warmth to the overall surface, brightening the midrange where it appears.
