Description

The root reaches the sub-bass — Bb0, felt more than heard, near-black at the floor of the keyboard. Above it, the root stacks in four more registers: Bb1, Bb2, Bb3, Bb4. Five versions of the same pitch across five octaves, violet darkening as it descends. Db3 provides the only blue-green in the middle; Db6 reappears high and distant, the third rendered as pale silver. Seven notes, Animé, mp, legato, four beats, inverted-bell contour.

Nearly the entire canvas is violet — dark, muted, near-monochrome. The blue-green of the minor third appears twice but is outnumbered by the root's obsessive repetition. Shadow anchors the painting heavily; the single high Db6 offers a thin line of cool brightness at the top.

The chord reduced to its own name, repeated five times across the full range. No fifth, almost no third — just Bb stated and restated, the deepest reaching Bb0 where pitch dissolves into vibration.
