Description

A3 provides a yellow-orange accent in the lower-mid register — warmer than the chord's typical colors there (C as dark red, G as red-orange). The accent sits at A3, outside the C minor chord; its yellow-orange color introduces unexpected warmth to the bass region of the arch.

Six notes, Lent, piano, legato, four beats: C1, C2, C3, A3, G4, Eb5. Three C roots at the bass, then A3 (yellow-orange) before the phrase continues upward to G4 and Eb5. The arch crest is Eb5 — pale violet. Shadow and midtones carry 92% of the canvas.

The A3 accent is brief — one note in six — but it interrupts the expected chord tones at a critical moment: after the three bass C's and before the upward resolution. A warm chromatic note in a dark phrase, its yellow-orange brief against the surrounding reds and blues.
