F Minor - Research on Harmony - Variation 16

After the darkness of the preceding cluster, Variation 16 opens into 60% highlights — the brightest Animé valley since Variation 2. F1-Ab7 with a D5 orange accent: the series' familiar extreme-high register returning after the compressed middle études. Six notes, the valley dipping to F1 before climbing to Ab7's near-white crest.

F1, F2, D5 (orange), F5, Ab6, Ab7: two dark F's at the bass, then D5's orange warmth, then F5, Ab6, and Ab7's silver-white. The orange of D5 appears in the lower-high register, a chromatic touch before the blue Ab's ascend to near-white. Only 7% shadows — the high register dominates.

Variation 16 is the tonal rebound: from Variation 15's 2% highlights to 60%. The chord hasn't changed but the register has — the same F minor palette now rendered in its upper-bright mode, the blue of Ab stretched to near-whiteness at Ab7.
