C Octaves - Reflexions 26

C octaves — five notes arching from C1 to F6, the root repeated in four octaves: C1, C2, C3, C5. A red-violet accent at F6 crowns the phrase. Played Modéré, p, in four — measured tempo, soft, natural articulation. The arch rises from the sub-bass of C1 to the crest before folding back.

Red compresses toward black through three low registers — C1 is near-black, C2 dark gray, C3 beginning to warm. Then a wide leap to C5, where red reaches its most characteristic hue. The red-violet accent at F6 adds a single cool-warm tone at the top. Between C3 and C5: nothing, a gap of two octaves.

The only Modéré in the series — a measured pace between slow and animated. Four octaves of red graduating from darkness to saturation, one cool accent at the peak, and a wide silence in the middle of the phrase.
