Everything above is accent: orange at D4 and D5, blue-violet at Eb4, yellow-orange at A4. Played Lent, p, legato, in three — soft, restrained, the quietest C study.

Red compresses toward black at C2, the only trace of C's characteristic hue. Above it, the canvas is entirely borrowed color — orange, blue-violet, yellow-orange, orange again. The octave is barely stated; the accents have taken over.
