Description

D octaves — four notes, the arch rising from D1 to A6. D appears at D1, D4, D5 — three registers of orange. A yellow-orange accent at A6 crowns the phrase. Played Lent, p, in four — the softest D study, natural articulation, each note standing apart. D1 sits at the bottom of the keyboard, felt more than heard.

Orange toward gray — D1 is near-black, the root pitched so low its color vanishes. D4 warms to earth, D5 reaches full orange saturation. Yellow-orange at A6 lifts the top into pale warmth. Between D5 and A6: a wide leap, silence spanning nearly two octaves. The canvas is three warm dots and a wide gap of nothing.

The quietest D study — four notes, soft dynamic, natural articulation, the arch spanning the full keyboard from sub-bass to high treble with a vast silence in between. Orange at three depths, a single yellow-orange point above, and space everywhere.
