Eight notes — Db octaves from Db1 to B5, the valley dipping to the sub-bass of Db1. Db appears at Db1, Db4, Db5 — three registers of blue-green. Five accents: blue-violet at Eb3, red-violet at F3, blue-green at Eb4, orange at D5, yellow-green at B5. Played Animé, mp, in four — natural articulation.

Blue-green at Db1 is pure black — sub-bass, felt not seen. The accents fill the lower-middle: blue-violet and red-violet layering cool-warm at Eb3 and F3. Db4 and Db5 carry the blue-green through mid-register. Orange at D5 adds a single warm note, then yellow-green at B5 closes the phrase.

The deepest Db study — Db1 reaching below perception, the valley plunging into sub-bass before climbing through a middle register dense with cool and warm accents. The canvas begins in absolute darkness.
